DoD Components authenticate users and NPEs at least once per session (e.g., logon) using CAC and other DoD approved methods. Users being authenticated are managed by the parallel activity “Organizational MFA/IdP” with the Component Identity Provider (IdP). Components do not use application/service-based identities and groups.
