DEVICE IDENTIFICATION AND AUTHENTICATION | DYNAMIC ADDRESS ALLOCATION (a) The organization standardizes dynamic address allocation lease information and the lease duration assigned to devices in accordance with ⚙organization-defined lease information and lease duration; and (b) The organization audits lease information when assigned to a device.

DHCP-enabled clients obtaining leases for IP addresses from DHCP servers, is a typical example of dynamic address allocation for devices. Related controls: AU-2, AU-3, AU-6, AU-12.
