A notification or tool regarding cookies, such as a cookie banner or cookie controls, is not by itself an acceptable method for submitting requests to opt-out of the business’s use of ADMT because cookies concern the collection of personal information and not necessarily the use of ADMT. An acceptable method for submitting requests to opt-out must be specific to the right to opt-out of the business’s use of the ADMT.
