>Control Description
A business shall not require a verifiable consumer request for a request to opt-out of sale/sharing. A business may ask the consumer for information necessary to complete the request, such as information necessary to identify the consumer whose information shall cease to be sold or shared by the business. However, to the extent that the business can comply with a request to opt-out of sale/sharing without additional information, it shall do so.
