>Control Description

For each purpose identified in compliance with subsection (a)(1) or (a)(2), the collection, use, retention, and/or sharing of a consumer’s personal information to achieve that purpose shall be reasonably necessary and proportionate. The business’s collection, use, retention, and/or sharing of a consumer’s personal information shall also be reasonably necessary and proportionate to achieve any purpose for which the business obtains the consumer’s consent in compliance with subsection (e). Whether a business’s collection, use, retention, and/or sharing of a consumer’s personal information is reasonably necessary and proportionate to achieve the purpose identified in compliance with subsection (a)(1) or (a)(2), or any purpose for which the business obtains consent, shall be based on the following:
